Filter Friday
It’s Filter Friday! Lets take a look at a wedding image enhanced with Color Efex Pro 4. Color Efex Pro 4′s ability to stack filters made it easy to quickly add different filters to enhance this image.
Here is the before:
I wanted to soften the skin tones and the background just slightly more, as well as draw the viewer’s focus to the couple. To do this, I added Color Efex Pro 4′s Glamour Glow to soften the skin and the background. Then, I added Dark Contrasts, but only selectively using + Control Points, to darken the groom’s jacket and bring out some of the detail in the bride’s wedding dress. Finally, I added Darken/Lighten Center, one of my very favorite filters, to draw the viewers eye to the couple.
Here is a screenshot of my settings within the Color Efex Pro 4 interface:

Darken/Lighten center is a subtle, yet very effective filter.
