Filter Friday on Google+
There are some wonderful features in Snapseed, from Basic to Creative Adjustments. One of the Creative Adjustments that I use on almost all of my images is Frames. Frames have a unique organic effect which gives my images a nice edge and helps to hold them together.
Not only are there 10 different Types to choose from, but each time I click on one of the types, it will randomly change the look of the frame but keep the same style. This is great when I create albums or have a series of images in which I want to keep the same type of frame, but want to create a unique look, so that all of my frames do not look identical.
Click multiple times on each of the different Types to change the look of that particular style.
Another feature that I use are the Custom Presets. By clicking on the right arrow under the Presets, I can click on any of the available slots to save my current settings so that I can use them on other images later on.

Next time you use Snapseed to enhance your images, try out the Frames and finish your image with a unique style!
Share an image on Google+ and tell us what filters you used, either a digital or glass filter or both, and tag your image #filterfriday curated by +Laurie Rubin. We’d love to see how filters have helped to enhance your images!

I tried my first iPad2 post-processing with Snapseed over the lunchbreak. I used the most Snapseed control on this image, including a film effect, a frame, a texture (dialed down) and two brightness control points… one obvious one in the lower center (RR tracks) and a more subtle area in the big shadow on the 2nd bin from the left:

I think I’m going to enjoy Snapseed.
PS… The most recent 5 images in my photostream were all taken with a Pentax Q and 8.5mm f1.9. (Yeah, small sensors are such crap, aren’t they? LOL).
Thanks for sharing Darren and glad to hear that you are enjoying Snapseed! Check out our other articles on Snapseed in the Categories section as well for more tips.
