  • Just a quick question. I appreciate that NIK provides a separate layer in Photoshop. But is there a way to go back to that layer later and make further tweaks?
    Thanks,
    Dave

  • Yes, our plug-ins are Smart Filter compatible in Adobe® Photoshop® CS3 and later as the host application. Please follow the instructions below:

    - Open your image in Photoshop CS3 or later.
    - Select the layer to apply your Nik Software program to.
    - Click on Filter > Convert for Smart Filter, and the layer is converted to a smart filter.
    - Click on Filter > Nik Software >Viveza 2 to open up the Viveza 2 interface. From here you can apply the desired Control Points. (Viveza 2 is an example of a Nik Software plug-in).
    - When using Viveza 2 as a Smart Filter, you can go back and edit the effect applied to the image as long as that file is saved as a PSD or TIFF file with the layers retained.
