The White Neutralizer filter within Color Efex Pro 4 removes color casts from light objects. This is a great filter to use to clean up images and create bright whites, without affecting any other color in your image.

This is a quick and easy filter to use within Color Efex Pro 4, and by looking at the filter controls you will get a better understanding how to make a big impact in a fast, effective way.

The Color selector allows you to select a colorcast to remove from the image. With the Eyedropper Tool you can select a color from within the image, or you can use the Color Picker to select a specific color value.

The Adjust Whole Image slider removes the color selected in the Color control from the entire image. The slider operates on a range from 0% to 100%, and is set to 30% to start.

The Neutralize Whites slider removes the color selected in the Color control from only the bright areas in the image. The default value is set to 30%. This slider operates on a range from 0% to 100%.

Tip: This is a great filter for portrait work or for retaining a white of a bride’s dress.

  • While I have found these training videos to be quite helpful, I have not liked the drip-feed distribution approach of one filter per week. I paid my money a year ago, I should have access to the entire video collection a year ago. The idea of withholding product information from a paid-up client, just so they’ll come back to your website each week, is plain silly! Please abandon this approach for future releases.

    • Hi Pete – This was a project that came about a year ago when someone in a webinar suggested that we do a video for each of the 55 filters. At the time, we had a nice filter list (http://bit.ly/n7ehET) with descriptions and before and after images. So we decided it would be nice to also include this free educational content along with our Daily Webinars and Guest Webinars which we offer several times a day throughout the week. We are glad that you found these videos to be helpful.

  • This is the first time, I have taken a video training of one of the filters in Color Efex. The combination of a video presentation and text layout greatly facilitates learning. Thanks and keep up the good work!

  • I kind of agree with pete, but I can’t say that I did not enjoyed going in every week and finding out how to use the filters. Now that the 52 weeks have passed, can we get all the videos and download them to the computer or will you put everything in a book. I would be nice to have that information compiled and not necessarily log in into nicksoftware to see it? Are there any plans to do that?

  • Wow Mark – surprised at this negative reaction! I have been following you each since you first started the videos and have totally enjoyed them. Didn’t take too much time each week and I learned a lot about how to use some not so well known filters. Also learned about the function of several of the unique sliders Nik has created. I am sorry to see this series come to an end – I know it took a long time to put this together. Thanks for your efforts!
